Our Story

As parents and clinical psychologists, neuroaffirming practice is at the centre of everything we do. We often meet families and young people who have encountered ablest, behavioural practices which have been ineffective, shaming and in many cases, traumatic.

For us, we whole hearted embrace neuro-affirming practices and it is at the very core of what we offer in our clinic, Every Mind Child Psychology. We can see the amazing benefits to neurodivergent children of having their strengths recognised, and their needs supported. It is hugely validating and empowering to a young person to have the people around them advocating for their needs, and providing an environment where they can be their authentic and genuine self.

Our passion is to help those supporting children and young people to be neuro-affirming rather than neuro-shaming. We want to help parents to feel empowered themselves so they can support their child in this way.

Our courses have been constructed with and by autistic children and their families. They have told us what they want others to know about autism and ADHD, how they would like to be treated and what helps them to thrive.
